About Jennifer

Jennifer Poersch is a nationally experienced political strategist and federal policy advisor who has spent three decades at the intersection of politics, policy, and advocacy. She has worked alongside senior congressional leaders, presidential campaigns, and candidates in some of the nation’s most competitive races, building an extensive network and a sophisticated understanding of how Washington works.

Jennifer managed finance operations for two presidential campaigns and dozens of U.S. Senate, congressional, and gubernatorial races nationwide and established and managed leadership PAC operations. That political experience now informs her approach to federal advocacy, where she combines a campaign strategist’s instincts for timing, positioning, and relationships with a deep understanding of the policymaking process.

Her advocacy strategies have helped secure congressional appropriations, competitive federal grants, foreign military sales approvals, favorable regulatory outcomes, and federal land transfers. She has advised clients through election cycles, changing administrations, shifts in congressional leadership, and the constant recalibration of power in Washington.

As a Partner at GuidePost Strategies, Jennifer advises corporations, associations, emerging companies, and organizations facing complex federal policy and political challenges. She understands the decision-makers, pressure points, and political realities that can turn ambitious objectives into successful outcomes. Her portfolio spans telecommunications, transportation, defense, healthcare, technology, and other highly regulated sectors.

Jennifer serves on several nonprofit boards focused on artificial intelligence, education, and advocacy for vulnerable members of her community. She lives in Alexandria, Virginia, with her husband and two daughters.
